The marriage statistics include 16-21 year old "women". That's how hard they had to squeeze to get the result they wanted. They also included a ton of women who are separated but not divorced.

So you're not yet in the majority, Gretchen. Unless we expect 16-year-olds to be married in 2007.

There's nothing like an old maid and old bachelor enjoying the decline of the family - do you actually hate children, or is it just that you love yourselves so much?

And Jeff, your singing is technically fine, but usually emotionally sterile. I have no idea what you sound like when you're genuinely heartbroken or angry. Your music is usually the same. Your best work is jazz, because technique=emotion in jazz, and you can really play.

You need to practice ways to express emotion when you sing - volume, timbre, spoken-word, yelling etc.

Oh, it does hurt to find out the truth about giving, doesn't it? What do Jeff's statistics have to do with ANYTHING? Poor people give MORE than rich people, dummy. Uneducated give more than educated people.

Do you think it's an accident that Jesus said it's "harder for a rich man to see Heaven than for a camel to go through the eye of a needle"? Or that the "meek will inherit the Earth"? Or that families give more than single selfish yuppies like yourselves?

The difference is not in the percentage of pre-maritial sex. The difference is in what we do about it. Women got pregnant, then they got married to the fathers of their babies. And they stayed married. That's the difference, and when you look at the wrecks we've allowed our children to become, it's not hard to wax nostalgic.

The survey should have asked how many sexual partners the women had in their lives - there would be a dramatic difference between "then" and "now". Also, how many of the women married their first sexual partner.

Great, you watch the terrorists execute innocents, but you won't watch a man who killed hunreds of thousands of innocents get executed. I guess it's clear whose side you're on. I've never heard such amoral equivalence - it makes physically nauseated to hear you speak these words.

It sounds like the two of you have seriously hooked up at this point. Hopefully Gretchen will turn up pregnant, and your focus on someone besides yourselves will bring some healthy perspective to your lives.
