    JEFF AND PAT!

Got my snow globes last night from the coolest Texans on the planet (and best podcasters) and THEN I tinkled my pants! The Texas snow globe has an armadillo (which Lynn loves b/c apparently you can trap them with bacon and they can carry leprosy, so don't rub them on your face) and Oklahoma has a terribly tragic buffalo! Oklahoma rocks and as Neil pointed out, no forests in Oklahoma. Makes it even better. Thanks so, so, so, so much! You guys are the coolest ever!

Loves and hugs and kisses from The Heartland!

    Hey guy and .... Pat

I enjoyed listening to Pat rant about how the g* word really pisses her off. As a recommendation for Pat, maybe you could listen to The Word Nerds, www.thewordnerds.org. The show from 11 April discusses the sexism of language, so you'll have even more words about which you can be miffed.

    Forgot something...

    re: commercialization

It sounds like KERA uses a different funding model than the NPR stations out here on the East Coast. Here they use *Underwriters*. That way, we're not supposed to figure out that NPR's using ads. PBS is even worse... they show actual ads, and call them underwriters.

I'm still up in the air about the whole PodShow concept, but I'm hoping that the commercialization at least continues the medium. Your PodCast and the content is great, there are a bunch of others that are almost as good. If commercialization means that your PodCast stays running, and the other almost-as-good PodCasts stay running... I'll be willing to use my fast forward button and hear some great PodCasts.

    I'm rambling, aren't I?

    Hi Brad,

Thanks so very much for referring me to the Word Nerds. I love that show. I am also a HUGE word lover, English language lover, blab blab blab. It appears you have a podcast too, but I couldn't play it....what's witht that?

I read some of your blog posts and I loved your calling our president "Shrub". So totally cracked me up.

Good luck with the riding, I may start training for a triathalon soon.

    Pat,

I fixed the feed earlier this week when I switched over to FeedBurner... turns out that even after all my years of being a techie... or is that trekkie, I can never remember... I totally hosed the HTML. The new feed should work... but be warned, I'm still getting warmed up.

The term of &^$%&^#^@, "Shrub", is credited to Molly Ivins, a writer from your neck of the woods.

Good luck to all of us for getting in shape. Remember that May is still National Bike Month, so hop on the bike and get out there for the (does the knuckle trick for remembering how many days) 6 days left over.
